Muse Research Receptor - artists

“I got my first Receptor shortly after they were introduced as a way to take some of the heat off of my studio computer as I began to run more and more plug-ins and moved away from hardware synths. I can have the Receptor run my complex String and Orchestral setups and let my computer use its resources for other things.

Currently I’m touring as MD/Keyboardist for Steven Curtis Chapman and love that fact I don’t have to compromise on sound quality even if it’s a fly date. I love the Snapshot mode where I can have all of the show's plug-ins and sounds instantly available, and simply bypass the things I don’t need to save CPU for any given tune. With a single patch change I can get to a completely different set of sounds with no load time.

And I love the flexibility of Receptor's I/O. I use the digital interface in the studio, sending Ivory 2 or Omnisphere's output to my audio interface. Or I'll have four instances of B4 II feeding the analog outputs and into my Trek Preamp to feed my Leslie. The Receptor has never let me down in the many years that I’ve used it. This thing is Rock Solid!”
